June 1st we enjoyed hearing “Words from Betty”, who recently turned 90 years old. Betty led a good discussion regarding the recent court decision for Trump. Our main speaker was Jim Schultz, President of the MN Private Business Council. It was nice to hear an update from him on Minnesota, legislative and business issues, and an opportunity to ask questions. Our next meeting is Sat. Sept. 7 and the topic will be: Nuclear Power – A Conversation.

Last Saturday, we were treated to two very enlightening presentations. Former State Senator Michelle Benson provided insight into the ongoing debate surrounding Assisted Suicide legislation at the state capital, highlighting its associated dangers. Additionally, State Representative Kristin Robbins shared updates on recent GOP legislative priorities and offered a sobering assessment of the current state of Minnesota politics. The discussion was very engaging and served as a timely reminder of the significant issues at play this year. Find out more at https://ethicalcaremn.org/ and this Alpha News article from May 2023, https://alphanews.org/heres-the-legislation-passed-by…/
We also heard from Wayne Johnson and Grayson McNew, candidates for endorsement in MN House District 41A
